Stricter planning rules

Householders will have to apply for planning permission to alter windows, doors and roofs in areas of conservation and “heritage significance” under new plans.
Cherwell District Council wants to axe “permitted development rights” in case homes are damaged in a “piecemeal” way.
The plans will be considered at a public meeting of the council’s executive on Monday at Bodicote House, White Post Road, Bodicote, Banbury, at 6.30pm.
