A40 death crash driver gets 18 months jail

A MAN who caused a crash on the A40 near Witney which killed a passenger and badly injured another driver has been jailed for 18 months.
Andrew Myers, of Hazelwell Crescent, Stirchley, Birmingham, was sentenced yesterday after he admitted causing death by dangerous driving.
The 46-year-old was driving a silver Land Rover Discovery which crashed into a tractor and was then hit by a black Land Rover Discovery shortly before 3pm on September 5 last year.
Myers was also banned from driving for three years and will have to sit an extended re-test.
