AFC TOTTON have voted to cease being a members' club after 125 years of existence in favour of becoming a limited company.

The Stags last week admitted they were in deep financial trouble and rumours abound that their players have not been paid for over two months.

A statement issued today by the cash-strapped Southern Premier Division outfit said: "Following the special general meeting of the members of AFC Totton last night, the members voted in favour of a change in constitution from a members' club to a limited company.

"A consortium of potential investors, headed up by (commercial vice-chairman) Calvin Caunter, will now finalise their proposals, and submit them to the trustees of the club.

"Until such times as this is concluded, the club shall continue in its current format, with the existing executive overseeing matters.

"It is envisaged that the new regime will be in place, during the forthcoming close season, in readiness for the commencement of the 2013/2014 fixtures."
