TWO women were sexually assaulted in their homes on a Bicester estate during the same night, police said.
Thames Valley Police - who are seeking one man for both crimes - said a home on the Southwold estate was broken into at about 5am last night.
He stole a PlayStation 3 games console, mobile phone, DVDs and headphones and groped a woman who was asleep on the sofa. When she woke up he fled.
Another property was broken into just after 6am where police said the intruder stole “several items” and sexually assaulted a woman while she was asleep in bed. He ran out of the house when she woke up.
Officers said the offender was black with shaved hair and wearing a dark hooded top.
Det Ch Insp Vince Grey said: “I want to reassure the public that we are doing everything we can to catch this offender.
“Officers will be out in the area today, patrolling, conducting house-to-house enquiries and offering reassurance to residents.
“I urge anyone who saw a person matching this description or saw anyone acting suspiciously to get in touch with police.
“It is also important to reiterate how important it is to make sure your property is as secure as it can be.”
Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
