DISRUPTION to train services between Oxford, Didcot, Reading and London Paddington is expected to continue until at least 5pm.
The problems began early this morning with a late finish to major engineering and signalling work carried out at Reading over the Easter weekend, which saw a new footbridge and extra platforms at the town's station brought into use.
Further disruption was caused by signalling problems and a train which broke down at Goring & Streatley during the morning peak.
As a result, trains and crews have been out of position for much of the day, causing delays of up to an hour at times and a series of cancellations on First Great Western and CrossCountry trains services.
