Maldon: Number of jobless is on the increase
Maldon is backing the national unemployment trend with an increase in jobseekers in the district.
A total of 924 people in the district claimed Jobseekers’ Allowance last month, compared to 892 in January.
The number of people out of work could have risen after printing firm Heron, in Heybridge, and Calorex Heat Pumps, in Maldon, announced job losses would take place at the start of the year.
