AN EASTER egg hunt organised by a local charity is taking place in Richmond’s Westfield pastures on Saturday, March 30 from 2pm.

Richmond Open Spaces Appeal has organised the event, starting from the lay-by next to the allotments in Westfields, with sponsorship from the Richmond Duck Club.

Each participant will receive a boxed chocolate egg when they complete the trail, which is included in the entry cost of £2.50. Light refreshments will be on sale.

Event organiser, Richmond Mayor Stuart Parsons, said: “The ROSA Family Easter Egg Hunt has become something of a local tradition, with many people returning year after year. This is because it has an appeal for all ages – from toddlers to students – so people can grow with the event.”

Tickets are available in advance from Veronica Robson on 01748-824218; Stuart Parsons on 01748-823456 or at the Castle Hill Book Shop in Richmond.

They can also be bought on the day but previous years have sold out before the end of the afternoon. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
