POLICE are now saying it may be closer to 5pm before the A40 is reopened following this morning's lorry crash.
The lorry crashed about about 6.15am at the Asthall roundabout and the A40 was closed betweened the B4477 (Brize Norton) and A361 High Street / Barns Lane (Burford) at about 9am.
An hour ago the estimate was it would be open by 4pm but a few minutes ago police revised that to about another hour.
The diversion in place is via the A361 and through Carterton.
The lorry driver suffered minor injuries, said police.

The incident happened at 6am, so that shift would have handed over to the 7 am shift (police officers first half hour o/t is free by the way)...
Tha 7 am shift would have handed over to the 6 pm shift, who would then have closed the incident...
So...overtime...can'
t see any there chum.
My turn to make an uninformed generalisation - why don't you stick to riding recklessly around the roads, putting others at risk, and keep your ill-informed quips to yourself.
