Murder investigation launched in Carterton

A MURDER investigation has been launched after the death of a man in his 50s in Carterton.
Police said paramedics were called to a home in Alvescot Road at 7.53am, where the body of a man was found. He was declared dead at the scene.
It is understood it is a flat within the Tower Centre.
A 27-year-old woman, a 48-year-old man and a 59-year-old man have been arrested by police suspicion of murder.
A police spokeswoman said the trio were arrested at the scene.
Det Supt Stan Gilmour said: “The investigation is at a very early stage with officers from Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit leading the murder investigation.”
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the Alvescot Road area this morning who witnessed anything suspicious or with any information to call the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
