Man charged over shop robbery

A 53-year-old man will face court in connection with a knife-point robbery at a shop.
Eamon Anderson, of Salter Close, Oxford, was charged yesterday with one count of attempted robbery and one count of possessing an offensive weapon.
The charges relate to an incident at the Westgate Shop, which adjoins the Westgate Hotel in Botley Road, Oxford, at about 3.15pm on Sunday.
Mr Anderson was remanded in custody yesterday and will appear before Oxford Crown Court on March 26.
