THE mayor of Bicester Melanie Magee has been helping to raise awareness of diabetes.
She visited Oxford and Cherwell Valley College’s Oxpens campus in Oxford to promote the Medical Detection Dogs charity.
The charity trains dogs to help people with life-threatening conditions gain independence and save their lives.
The mayor is pictured, centre, with her daughter Dannie, 21, left, who has diabetes, and Serena Courtney with her detection dog Molly.
