Benefit fraudster jailed

A benefit fraudster who admitted falsely claiming more than £8,000 in benefits has been jailed for eight weeks.

Coverley Road resident Ari Najmadeen, 36, dishonestly failed to report a change in circumstances while claiming housing and council tax benefit between August 2008 to April 2011.

He was sentenced at Oxford Magistrates’ Court and will have to pay back the overpaid benefit.
