EIGHT-year-old dancer Martha Howard is among those preparing for a charity dance show later this month.
The Middle Eastern-themed Shimmytastic will raise cash for Bloxham Primary School and the county branch of stillbirth and neonatal death charity, Sands.
It is being organised by Bloxham primary teacher and Oxfordshire Sands chairman Karen Hancox, whose daughter Kayleigh was stillborn in 2007.
She said: “The death of a baby is still very taboo. It can lead to feelings of immense isolation.
“Funds at Oxfordshire Sands are running low and we desperately need money to continue the charity’s work supporting bereaved parents.”
The show will be held on Sunday, March 24, at 2.30pm at the village’s secondary, Bloxham School, in Banbury Road.
Tickets are £8 and available from the Tadmarton Road primary school, from Mrs Hancox on 07870 345983 or shimmytasticshow@ gmail.com.
