Driver hospitalised after crash this morning

A driver needed hospital treatment following a crash with a single-decker coach in a village outside Oxford this morning.

The accident involving a black BMW and the coach run by Charlton Services happened about 7.35am in Woodeaton Road, Woodeaton.

Thames Valley Police spokesman Rhianne Pope said the driver of the BMW was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after suffering suspected neck injuries.

She added that the driver’s condition was not life-threatening, and the accident has not caused major traffic delays.

South Central Ambulance spokesman Michelle Archer said the BMW driver was the only patient treated. She added: “There were no passengers on the coach.”
