Chiltern Railways has been named the most punctual rail operator in the UK.
Figures from Network Rail show the company which operates services to London via Banbury and Bicester show 86 per cent of services were on time over the last year.
That compares to 69.7 per cent for First Great Western and 46.8 per cent for CrossCountry services.
Andrew Munden, operations and safety director at Chiltern Railways, said: “We’re delighted to maintain our position at the top of the league table. However, it’s important not to be complacent and we are constantly looking at ways to further improve and give passengers the best service possible.”
