Cabbie bashed

A taxi driver whose vehicle had broken down was attacked while waiting for help.

The 32-year-old victim had pulled over in Leopold Street off Cowley Road, East Oxford.

A man approached him and punched him three times in the head, causing a bloody nose, police said.

He did not require hospital treatment and nothing was stolen.

The incident happened at about 6.45pm on Thursday, February 28, but police only released details on Friday.

The attacker was described as a black male, 5ft 11ins, stocky build, with a short, Afro hair style.
