Student shares stage with star

An Oxford University researcher will share the stage with actor James Nesbitt today when she presents her latest findings at a major dementia conference.
Organised by Alzheimer’s Research UK, the event in Belfast will feature PhD student Verena Heise sharing her research into the effects of a known Alzheimer’s risk gene on the brains of healthy adults.
Mr Nesbitt, who starred in The Hobbit and whose family has suffered the impact of Alzheimer’s, will challenge the public to fight the fear of dementia by supporting research.
