New home boost for learning difficulty charity

A CHARITY that provides support to adults with learning difficulties has undergone a major expansion.

Style Acre has signed a five-year lease to occupy an additional building at Howbery Business Park, near Wallingford, which will allow it to accommodate up to 40 extra local people.

The move to Turnstyle Studios will also mean its staff increases from 35 to 40.

The official opening is on March 14.

Chief executive Kate Liddle said: “Our new building will help us to achieve the charity’s objective of helping adults with learning difficulties lead fulfilling and active lives through the creation of enjoyable and stimulating activities.”

The move and refurbishment of the building will cost £31,000, the majority of which has been donated.
