Dancers come out of the shadows

PHYSICS and emotions came together in a performance for a dance festival.
Moving with the Times showcased five Oxfordshire acts at the Pegasus Theatre as part of Dancin’ Oxford.
More than 150 people went to see the show on Friday and Saturday night.
One of performances was Inertia by Ana Barbour and Naomi Morris.
Miss Morris’s use of film and shadow play had a direct impact on the dance performed by Ms Barbour.
Ms Barbour, 46, from Chipping Norton, said: “The piece was about inertia and it was exploring movements that get us out of bed in the morning and what holds us back.
“It was also using the statement in physics that an object will remain in a state of stillness unless an outside force acts upon it.”
Ms Barbour hopes to develop the piece and take it on tour in the months ahead.
