A DO-it-yourself bike workshop has moved into its new home in Oxford’s Story Museum.
Launched last September, the Broken Spoke Bike Co-operative was running its sessions at community centres across the city.
But the organisation officially opened at its permanent home at the museum on Friday.
Cassiope Sydoriak, 25, runs the workshop along with several others.
She said: “We had been operating out of community centres since September, but in January we had the opportunity to move into the Story Museum.
“It’s a much better way of running things because we don’t need to pack up our tools at the end of every day and we can have art on the walls and tea and coffee, that sort of thing.
“From our point of view, we’re very hands off. We don’t provide any repairs service at all, but there are mechanics on hand to teach people how to repair their own bikes.”
