Natalia Cox is planning a little pampering before she takes on the London Marathon.

The mum-of-two, a member of Alchester Running Club, plans to raise cash for a charity close to her heart.

Macmillan Cancer Support is helping her aunt, Margaret Doherty, from Dunstable, who has lung cancer.

In the past few months Mrs Cox, a founder member of Bicester Triathlon Club, has upped her game for the 26.2 mile run on April 21.

She has set a target of raising £500.

The 33-year-old, from Nizewell Head, Steeple Aston, near Bicester, said: “I have been running about five years. I started after my children were born to lose the pregnancy weight.

“I got my own place in the London Marathon, but wanted to raise money for the Macmillan charity because I have lots of family members who have passed away from cancer.”

Mrs Cox has roped in colleagues at the parent teacher group at St Mary’s School, Queens Avenue, Bicester, to organise a pamper evening next Friday, from 7pm, at the school. Call 07879 632737.
