Fresh owner for milk depot
8:00am Saturday 2nd March 2013 in News
A FORMER Dairy Crest depot in Witney has been sold.
Estate agent Carter Jonas said contracts for the site in Oxford Hill have been exchanged but the deal has not yet been completed.
It is expected the deal will be finalised after April. Carter Jonas would not say who has purchased the land.
Dairy Crest closed the depot in April 2012 and milkmen now travel from Oxford and Swindon to deliver to West Oxfordshire homes.
The company said at the time the closure aimed to keep the business “efficient” and residents would not notice any difference in services.
Carter Jonas had a guide price of £750,000 and said it was “suitable for a range of uses”.
No planning application to change the use of the site has yet been submitted.
