Man jailed over images of children

A MAN who made and distributed “hundreds” of indecent images of children has been jailed.
Christopher Lines, 38, of Grimsbury Drive, Banbury, was sentenced to 12 months at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday.
He pleaded guilty to 36 counts on the indictment which consisted of 15 counts of making indecent images of children, 18 counts of distributing indecent images and three counts of incitement to distribute indecent photographs of children.
In addition to the 12-month sentence Lines received a seven-year Sexual Offences Prevention Order and 10 years’ inclusion on the Sex Offenders Register.
Det Con Mike West of Thames Valley Police CID said: “Lines has distributed hundreds of indecent images of children and his custodial sentence reflects the severity of his actions.
“We hope that this sentence serves as a deterrent to others that this behaviour will be fully investigated and brought to justice.”
