HIS Barnet team are not due in the city until next month, but legendary Dutch footballer Edgar Davids popped in to the Oxford Union to talk about self-discovery.
Speaking to the Oxford Mail before his talk, Davids, whose nickname was Pitbull, said: “Can you imagine all the people who have spoken here? They really raised the bar this time.
“I am very honoured to be at the Oxford Union. I am going to be talking about discovering yourself.”
Davids, 39, won a host of league and cup titles over the course of his career which saw him play in midfield for Ajax, Juventus, both Milan clubs, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur as well as for his country.
He is currently manager of League Two side Barnet FC.
