An unusual clash between Oxford and Cambridge universities went ahead yesterday .
The two establishments’ cheerleading teams, the Oxford Sirens and the Cambridge Cougars, went head-to-head in a grudge match at Loughborough University. Oxford’s team doesn’t cheer at sports games like stereotypical American teams, but competes against other teams in sports such as dance and acrobatics.
