A man has been fined for setting off fireworks inside a packed Oxford city centre nightclub.
The 20-year-old was apprehended in the smoking area of The Bridge in Hythe Bridge Street.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said: “Police were called at 12.20am on February 8, to reports of a man setting off fireworks in the smoking area of The Bridge.
“No one was injured and no property had been damaged.
“A 20-year-old man from London was given an £80 Fixed Penalty Notice for letting off a firework in a public place.”
