AS VALENTINE’S Day approaches love may be in the air, but in Chipping Norton yarn is everywhere else.
The town’s mysterious yarn bomber helps celebrate a wide range of national days by decorating the area with appropriate knitted patterns.
She has struck again as February 14 comes around, this time decorating trees with woollen hearts.
Chipping Norton resident Suzie Brown, 43, was given a knitted heart when she came across the yarn bomber decorating a tree in the town centre.
She said: “We have been living here for five years and we had not seen her so it was nice to finally see her in action.
“My three year old son Joe and I have often walked around the town and seen her works of art hanging here, there and everywhere and it brings a smile to our faces.”
Yarn bombing is an American craze which is also known as urban knitting.
It is a form of street art which involves decorating a public space with patterns made from knitted or crocheted yarn.
