IT IS disturbing that Georg Wissinter has withdrawn the offer of using his premises for a mosque but more worrying is his insistence of underlying racism in Chipping Norton.
Personal safety must always be paramount but with this decision it seems the bigots (or probably even a lone bigot) have won with so little effort.
The vast majority of Chipping Norton residents will be appalled and hold no truck with such intolerant views. Yet this will stain the town’s reputation.
