A 14-YEAR-OLD girl feared she would die as she was “brutally” raped by a man high on cocaine, the Old Bailey heard yesterday.

Now aged 20, the woman cried as she gave evidence at the trial of nine men accused of raping and prostituting girls in Oxford.

Known as Girl 3 as she cannot be named, she also told the jury she was sent to London to have sex with strangers.

She said Bassam Karrar gave her alcohol before taking her to the Nanford Guest House in Iffley Road in November 2006. She said they had sex, but he took cocaine and became “demanding” and “aggressive”.

He started beating her and pulling her hair when she refused to have sex, the jury heard.

The court heard the girl told him she was pregnant to make him stop, but she said: “It just made him worse. It was like he was possessed.”

She said he scratched her face and raped her, adding: “I didn’t feel like I could scream.”

After raping her, he urinated on her in the shower, the court heard.

Bassam Karrar then raped the 14-year-old again with his hands around her throat, the jury heard. He told the girl: “I’m going to kill you.”

Girl 3 said: “I couldn’t breathe because his hands were so tight around my throat. I thought that was how I was going to die.”

The court heard police arrived and the teen ran outside screaming.

Police interviewed the teenager and took photographs of the hotel room. But she said she was persuaded to drop the charges by Bassam’s girlfriend at the time.

She said: “She said he would lose his kids and he would never see them.”

Girl 3 claims she was abused by Akhtar and Anjum Dogar, Assad Hussain, and Mohammed and Bassam Karrar between the ages of 13 and 15.

The alleged crimes, including rape, child prostitution and sex trafficking, are said to have taken place between July 2005 and July 2008.

She said Mohammed Karrar would tell her she had “a job to do” and put her on a train to meet men at Paddington station.

She said sometimes they would take her for a meal, buy her clothes, or take her for sex at apartments.

Sometimes they would sit and stare at her, she said.

When Noel Lucas, prosecuting, asked her if she wanted to go and do it, she said: “Not to do the job, but I wanted to get away from Oxford and them all.

“I felt it was my job and that’s what I was good for.”

She said when she returned she was “confused” and wanted her mum to treat her “like a baby”.

She said: “I wouldn’t go to sleep on my own. I asked her to hold me like a baby and cradle me.”

When asked why she had sex with the Oxford men, she said she felt she “owed” them for giving her drink, drugs and attention.
