A 44-year-old man who admitted theft and possessing cannabis was given three months to prove he can stay out of trouble.
Paul Arnold, of Nightingale Avenue, Greater Leys, Oxford, was caught in possession of a small amount of cannabis in SS Mary and John churchyard, in Cowley Road, on September 29 last year.
He also confessed to stealing a woman’s handbag, containing an iPhone and belongings worth about £700, from the Duke Of Cambridge bar in Little Clarendon Street, Oxford, on October 20 last year and being in breach of a 12-month suspended sentence and supervision order imposed in May last year for a separate assault.
Yesterday at Oxford Crown Court, Judge Mary Jane Mowat bailed him to await sentence on May 3.
