SCHOOL pupils enjoyed a day of fun physics challenges at Oxford University Education Centre at Norham Gardens.
Youngsters from various schools across Oxfordshire experimentied with activities like guiding lasers through a maze and calculating the speed of light with a microwave and cheese.
Joe Defillion, pictured left, and Charlie Davis, both 11, from Magdalen College School in Cowley Place, were among pupils taking part.
Joe said: “I really enjoyed the waves experiment, that was my favourite. I like physics already, it’s one of my favourite subjects, but I like it even more now.”
Charlie said: “There were so many different stations, we learnt a lot of things we didn’t know before. I found it really interesting.”
The event was organised by Oxfordshire Schools Physics Association at Oxford Spires Academy with Oxford University Physics Department and funded by the Ogden Trust for physics.
