Bullfinch Trial: 'Abusers carried on even if I was crying'

A SCHOOLgirl was driven to the woods at night and told her throat would be slit after she lied to avoid being raped, the Old Bailey heard yesterday.

The jury also heard the witness drew a picture of herself screaming, shackled and being “ripped apart”.

Known as Girl 1 as she cannot be named, the witness, now in her 20s, claims she was raped, trafficked and sold for sex by Kamar Jamil, and brothers Akhtar and Anjum Dogar, between the ages of 12 and 15.

She said she was taken to “foul” properties and made to have sex with up to 10 men.

She was once driven to Shotover Woods by Jamil and the Dogar brothers because she lied she was on her period to avoid having sex, the jury heard.

She said the men said: “Do you know what we do with pigs? We slit their throats.”

She begged for her life, but the gang told her to perform a sex act on them all or they would cut her head off, she said.

She said: “They were all laughing at me but still being horrible at the same time. “It was awful. I was terrified.” Another four men arrived and she had to do the same thing, she said.

She added: “It felt like it was a conveyor belt.”

The jury heard the girl vomited before the men left her in “the pitch black”. But she said: “It just got to the point where I didn’t know what to do, so I rang them and said can you come and get me?”

The jury was also shown a drawing the witness had done when she was about 13. She said: “I am trying to portray feeling like I have been ripped apart.”

The court heard the girl was given heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis. She developed a £130-a-day drug habit and missed her 15th birthday because of the abuse.

She said: “I was so wasted I didn’t even know it was my 15th birthday until the day later.”

The witness said she would be taken to the Nanford Guest House where the men would pay a man. She said: “I think they were just paying him to turn a blind eye.”

The court also heard the gang would be angry if she refused sex. She said: “I believe it was because I had lost them business.”

But she said she would usually have sex, adding: “I was frightened they would hurt me badly or kill me.”

The young woman said the gang would also find it “funny” if she was not enjoying sex and would carry on if she was crying.

When being questioned by Jamil’s barrister Sally O’Neill, she said: “I know for a fact that my mum and dad knew what was happening to me.

“And I had a feeling police knew what was happening to me. “But I was a child. I didn’t want to admit what was happening to me.”

The court also heard the witness’s first boyfriend was an 18-year-old drug dealer when she was 12. The witness made a rape allegation against him in March 2005 and in September 2005 she claimed she was raped by three men at knifepoint.

She also said had felt “responsible” for the abuse of Girl 2 – who gave her testimony earlier in the trial – whom she introduced to the gang.

Nine men accused of involvement in a child sex exploitation ring deny all 79 charges.

Kamar Jamil, 27, of Aldrich Road, Summertown, Oxford, denies four rapes, three charges of conspiracy to rape, two of arranging or facilitating child prostitution, and one of trafficking for sexual exploitation.

Akhtar Dogar, 32, of Tawney Street, East Oxford, denies six rapes, three charges of conspiracy to rape, three of arranging or facilitating child prostitution, and trafficking for sexual exploitation.

Assad Hussain, 32, of Ashhurst Way, Rose Hill, Oxford, denies two charges of conspiracy to rape and three of sexual activity with a child.

Anjum Dogar, 30, of Tawney Street, East Oxford, denies four rapes, three charges of conspiracy to rape, three of arranging or facilitating child prostitution, and trafficking for sexual exploitation.

Mohammed Karrar, 38, of Kames Close, Cowley, denies seven rapes, four charges of conspiracy to rape, an alternative charge of conspiracy to commit sexual activity with a child, two of trafficking for sexual exploitation, two of arranging or facilitating child prostitution, assault, conspiracy to assault, using an instrument to procure a miscarriage, and supplying a Class A drug to another.

Bassam Karrar, 33, Hundred Acres Close, Cowley, denies three rapes, three charges of conspiracy to rape, two charges of arranging or facilitating child prostitution, trafficking for sexual exploitation, and conspiracy to assault.

Mohammed Hussain, 24, of Horspath Road, Cowley, Oxford, denies rape, conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child, and two charges of sexual activity with a child.

Zeeshan Ahmed, 27, of Palmer Road, Wood Farm, Oxford, denies two charges of conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child and two charges of sexual activity with a child.

Bilal Ahmed, 26, of Suffolk Road, Maidenhead, denies conspiracy to engage in sexual activity with a child and sexual activity with a child.
