A 52-YEAR-OLD man was arrested yesterday in Oxfordshire on suspicion of business espionage.

The Metropolitan Police Service made the arrest as part of Operation Tuleta, an investigation into criminal breaches of privacy.

The man was arrested at about 7am at his home in Oxfordshire on suspicion of offences under Section 3 of the Computer Misuse Act 1990. The Met said that the man was not a police officer, a public official or a journalist, but would not say his profession.

He was interviewed at an Oxfordshire Police Station and a search of his property was carried out yesterday.

The arrest, the 20th in Operation Tuleta, is part of the Kalmyk investigative strand of inquiry relating to computer hacking offences.

Operation Tuleta is being run in conjunction with two other Met investigations. Operation Elveden is looking at alleged corrupt payments to public officials and Operation Weeting is the phone-hacking inquiry.
