POLICE seized two stun guns at a caravan park near Wantage yesterday morning.
Officers carried out a warrant at a property at Woodhill Lane Caravan Park in East Challow, a site used by traveller families.
The warrant was carried out under the Firearms Act following a tip-off and two weapons were seized, one of them disguised as a mobile phone.
A man aged 26 and a woman aged 22 were arrested on suspicion of possession of prohibited weapons and were last night in police custody.
Pc Chris Pratt, who took part in the operation, said: “It is our priority to make sure that the area remains a safe place to be and we will continue to crack down on the small minority who choose to commit crime here.”
A police raid took place at the site in March 2010, and 76 weapons were found, including swords and knives.
The stash, along with an air rifle, were destroyed.
Anyone with any information about the latest incident should call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
