A YOUNG woman cried in the witness stand today as she told the Old Bailey she had sex with a gang aged 12 because she thought she owed it to them.
The witness was giving evidence at the trial of nine men accused of running a child sex exploitation ring in Oxford. The deny all 79 charges.
She also said the gang had threatened to burn her house down with her baby brother inside if she did not come with them.
Now in her 20s, and known as Girl 1 as she cannot be named, she chose not to give evidence from behind a curtain.
She told the jury she was given attention and gifts before the men started asking for sexual favours.
She said: "They would say things like we have been good to you, so you be good to me.
"I thought that was how it was supposed to be."
And she later said: "It was in the back of my mind that I should keep them happy."
She claims she was raped and sold for sex by Jamil and the Dogar brothers from the age of 12 and 15.
