When it gets cold you really want your mummy

EGYPTIAN pharaohs are usually associated with sand and hot temperatures, but not in Oxfordshire.

Pupils at Sibford School in Sibford Ferris, near Banbury, made this image of Tutankhamun in the snow, using spray paint made from food dye.

The work to paint the image took the children half an hour as they took their history lesson outside on Thursday.

As they have been studying ancient Egypt, they also built a snow pyramid which taught them about square numbers.

Adding the finishing touches to the work were Catie Harries-Harris, seven, Frannie McClymont, eight, and Ralph Scarf, seven.

Catie said: “I like learning about Tutankhamun. It is ancient and we don’t know much about it now.

“We learnt what colours his mask was and how expensive all the gold was.”

Ralph added: “It was fun painting in the snow but my hands got a bit tired.”
