SNOW is forecast later today for Oxfordshire as temperatures struggle to get above freezing.

The Met office has issued a warning for snow, but it is not expected to hit Oxfordshire until this afternoon.

The light snow shower is forecast to turn into sleet this evening, with temperatures plummeting again to -5C before milder conditions sweep in tomorrow.

No schools are closed due to the weather - for the first time since last Thursday.

Three bus routes run by Stagecoach continue to be disrupted by the weather.

A spokesman from the company said: “We are pleased to say that all our city services and the Oxford Tube are running normally today.

“There are a number of alterations to some of our country services due to the icy road conditions.

“Our team are continuing to check the road conditions throughout the day so we can start running buses on diverted routes as soon as possible.”

But disrupted services include Route S3 - which is serving Combe via Akeman Street in both directions but it is unable to serve Stonesfield Road in Combe.

Route S4 is unable to serve Duns Tew and the top end of Middle Barton and Route 200 is unable to serve Upper Wardington and running via the A361.
