REPAIRÂ work on heat pumps at an Oxford swimming pool began yesterday to fix plummeting pool temperatures.
The main pool at Temple Cowley Pool was 24.8C instead of the usual 27C and the training pool was 22C down from 31C.
It is expected the work to fix the pumps, which the city council said failed because of their age, will take up to five days.
Yesterday after-school swimming lessons were cancelled because of the problem.
Swimmers can call the pool in Cowley on 01865 467124 for up-to-date water temperatures.
