TWO men with guns threatened cashiers at Headington’s Lloyds TSB this morning and took an unknown sum of cash.
Armed police were sent to the bank in London Road at 9.53am today and it remains cordoned off while officers continue their investigation.
The two robbers fled on foot in the direction of Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
One is described as white, about 5ft 9ins, of slim build wearing a black hat and scarf around his face with a yellow high-visibility vest over a black coat.
The second robber is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, about 5ft 6ins, and of average build.
He was wearing a hat and scarf across his face with a yellow high visibility vest over a checked shirt.
Det Sgt Mark Stalder said, “Police are currently investigating and additional patrols will be located around the area.”
