WHEATLEY: A masked raider smashed a glass screen to snatch an unknown quantity of cash in a robbery at the village’s Post Office.
A man entered the High Street branch at about 4.40pm on Thursday with an object concealed in a plastic bag, police said.
He demanded money and then smashed the glass screen to take the cash.
Det Insp John Turner said: “No-one was injured in the robbery but it was clearly a frightening incident for the staff concerned.”
