CHRISTMAS decorations lit up the streets of Summertown last night.
Pupils from Cutteslowe Primary School and Cherwell School sang carols as the lights in Banbury Road were switched on.
Among them was six-year-old Ronnie Smith-Noble, pictured far right, who sang with the Cutteslowe Primary School choir. He is with the Reid family, from left, Esther, six, Elanor, eight, father Brian, Ethan, three, and mother Jenny.
Ronnie said the Christmas lights were “brilliant” and that he was “excited for Christmas”.
Mum Kerrie Smith-Noble, from Rackham Place, said: “The lights were really good, especially with all the kids singing. It was great to hear them sing, I even asked for a few more songs. I took a lot of photos and videos.”
Mince pies and spiced coffee were also on the menu last night.
The Summertown switch-on was one of the last in Oxfordshire, with only Wantage, Goring and Chipping Norton left.
Their lights are all due to be switched on today.
