CHILDREN celebrated a frosty start to December at Oxfordshire’s largest ice rink.
Laura Sem, from Ducklington in Witney, took two-year-old William, to have a go at ice skating to mark the countdown to Christmas at Millets Farm in Frilford on Monday.
She said: “We went down to pick a turkey from the farm shop for our Christmas lunch and saw the ice rink. William really wanted a go.
“It was absolutely fantastic. It feels like the start of the big countdown for Christmas – especially now the weather has turned so cold!
“The rink had seal toys for William to skate with. He built up his confidence and had a go on his own. He didn’t fall so it was a great success.”
Millets garden centre manager Mark O’Nions said: “Skating outdoors on a real ice rink is a really exciting family experience for Christmas. We have the perfect setting to make it really magical here.”
The 40-minute sessions run every day until January 8.
