Fire services merger backed

COUNTY council officers have recommended the authority approve plans to merge fire services in Oxfordshire and Berkshire with Buckinghamshire.

The Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Fire and Rescue Authority wants to join the existing pact between Oxfordshire and Berkshire. A decision will be made on Monday.
