DIDCOT’S Thong Rangers are taking to the streets again on Saturday to raise money for a meningitis victim.
Thirteen-month-old Albie Logan caught the deadly brain bug soon after he was born, and needs 24-hour care.
On Saturday, the Thong Rangers will run from Didcot to the centre of Oxford and on to Cowley collecting money to help the family.
Albie’s mum Claire Logan, 38, from Abingdon, said: “There are not many good days with Albie. He has had a really hard time, and he has got a really hard future. There is not that much help for his situation. You can get benefits but it is not a lot compared to what he needs.”
Thong Ranger Cliff Oakes said: “When we met Claire we immediately wanted to help.”
