8:14am Friday 23rd November 2012 in News
THE River Cherwell remains on Flood Warning this morning but the levels are falli at Heyford Bridge.
THe Environment Agency placed the river on Flood Warning status between Lower Heyford and Cherwell Bridge yesterday, meaning flooding was expected.
This morning it has said: "The river and flooding forecast is: River Levels on the Cherwell at Heyford Bridge are now falling. The Flood Warning will remain in force on Friday.
"Water levels in the Enslow area are also very high and flooding of properties close to the river may still occur. At Thrupp, river levels are still rising slowly in response to the rainfall elsewhere in the catchment.
"The weather prospects are: Friday should be a mostly dry day with further rainfall forecast for Saturday and Sunday."
