We know him as a DJ, promoter and even a former Oxford City Councillor. Now Nathan T Pyle is branching out.

Drawing on his inside knowledge of the music industry he has set up his own record label. And being a curry aficiando and Jericho resident, he has named it after his local eaterie: The Standard Tandoori. To celebrate, he is holding a Standard Tandoori Records launch party tomorrow (Thursday) at the Jericho Tavern, featuring the label’s first signing David Gibb.

Twenty one year-old singer Gibb has played more than 300 shows and festivals and is a former BBC Young Folk Award nominee.

His first single Prince John was released last month.

Support comes from The Goggenheim and James Ewers who will be playing songs from former band My Luminaries and current project lonesound.

Entry is free and doors open at 7.30pm.
