CONSERVATIVE Anthony Stansfeld is looking increasingly likely to be the first Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner.
Mr Stansfeld failed to win an overall majority in the first round of voting, although he was about 20,000 votes ahead of Labour's Tim Starkey.
That has led to a second round of counting the second preference votes cast for the other candidates in a bid to determine the winner.
Numbers are still being collated but so far out of the 10 district results that have come in, Mr Stansfeld has picked up the most votes in nine of them.
