Museum keeping some artwork up its sleeves
THE art of the album cover features in a new exhibition at Woodstock’s Oxfordshire Museum.
Classic LP sleeves like David Bowie’s Hunky Dory and Oasis’s (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? are among those at the free exhibition.
The exhibition – which began on Saturday – is part of this year’s Art in Woodstock celebration.
Mark Bigelow, pictured, who is organising the Art in Woodstock, said: “This is a wonderful exhibition from an artistic, social and cultural viewpoint.”
The Park Street museum is open from 10am to 5pm from Tuesday to Saturday and from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday.
