Drivers in East Oxford were today being stopped by police carrying out roadside checks.
The checks in Marsh Road were part of a mobile Automatic Number Plate Recognition scheme, which runs the number through police and DVLA databases.
The databases flag up vehicles for not having road tax or insurance or for being involved in other crimes.
Police spokesman Vicki Brandon said: "ANPR checks are being carried out in Marsh Road. Five local officers and three support staff are involved."

Suspect that the vast majority of the the drivers who have no insurance, mot or road tax aren't from overseas... They are the Feral British

And what exactly will happen in the long term? Precisely nothing! Still, at least it keeps them away from catching "green grillers" or any other real police work.

East Oxford is awash with people who think that they can behave in the manner that they are used to in their home country.
Some think seat belts are an optional extra.
Some think licence and insurance is only required if you are British.
Rid the roads of these leaches.
