Personal Overview - Senior finance professional with a career in the investment industry she has demonstrated over a prolonged period considerable interest in children's and family issues through a variety of charitable initiatives. Her local political campaigns to date have been sensitive to the extensive development of Northamptonshire which has taken place over the last couple of decades. In particular she has highlighted local concerns about house building taking place without commensurate increases in social or transport infrastructure. Her new constituency has important transport connections - nearby Daventry, around which the constituency is based, is a hub for road and rail links especially freight, and with the Silverstone racing track as well there are strong links to motor racing. Brawn Motor Racing, winners of the 2009 Formula One Drivers and Constructors Championships, (now under Mercedes ownership) is based in Brackley.

Political History - Conservative Party Member (1984-), former Councillor, South Oxfordshire District Council, Parliamentary Candidate for Knowsley South (2005), Member for Northamptonshire South (2010-). Member of the Treasury Select Committee (2010-).
